All HODs in Olika House to get a brand new computer set.
first set of 8 computers delivered and installed
It was a thing of surprise to the Local Government Chairman on assumption of office to be informed that the Local government Council’s Heads of Department and Local Education Authority office have no computer sets for typesetting and storing informations.
It was a norm for council documents to be taken to public cafes for printing and photostating. Data integrity and confidentiality was a serious issue, as no one could ascertain what happens after subjecting the council’s information to public handling. Some offices in the Local Government were still using the typewriter, which has long ago become obsolete, as the only available means of typesetting.
The council boss who described the condition as _*”pathetic and unacceptable”*_ promised that he would provide a brand new set of computers to all the thirteen Heads of departments and the Local Education Authority office.
Consequently, the Esan North East Executive Committee approved that this should be done in two phases. According to Exco decision, *Eight* (8) sets were to be purchased in phase one and five (5) sets in phase two.
8 sets have been delivered and installed successfully while we await another set of 5 computers in phase two
