AIP hails Court Ruling Validating Ighodalo’s Candidacy

A foremost Socio-political Support Movement for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP ) and its gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo in the forthcoming Edo State governorship election, The Asue Ighodalo Patriots, said it was delighted with the High Court judgment which affirmed the governorship primary election that produced the Edo State governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, as the rightful candidate of the PDP for the September 21, 2024 election.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Converner Mr. Paul Smith Eghobor and the state coordinator, Hon. Fidelise Odiase, said the Federal High Court judgement which puts to rest all contestations regarding the validity of the candidacy of the Edo State governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, further validates the will and aspiration of the people of Edo State which they will express come September 21, 2024.
The group said the judgment is a firm confirmation that the Edo State governorship primary was transparently conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC) in strict compliance with the provisions of the PDP Constitution and Electoral Guidelines as provided by the Electoral Act and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).

“AIP again congratulates the Edo State PDP, it’s executives and charges all Party stakeholders in the State to remain united and call on the good people of Edo State to continue to support and come out en-masse come September 21 to vote the PDP and its gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo in his determination to institute a transparent, people-oriented and development-based government and will continue to build a better Edo State.”
