Ewu 11th September 2023
Comrade KINGSLEY IJEBOR the flag bearer of Labour Party in Esan Central LGA during the recently botched Edo Council Election, has appreciated his supporters across the LGA who were desirous of giving him a well deserved victory but were openly denied voting materials to exercise their franchise.
Comrade IJEBOR told Urban Scoop Media in Ewu that for the massive statistics of supporters who were denied materials to vote, he would have emerged victorious.
In his words “It’s no longer news that the election was botched and a far cry from the true meaning and practice of democracy. You can imagine a situation where just 100 voting materials were brought for a polling unit of over 500 registered voters. I would have won the election if given a level playing ground” he said.
Comrade IJEBOR said he is not bittered at all that he look forward to a fruitful political future. According to him “The outing was an eye opener. I never knew that my people loved me to that extent. Considering the massive support I enjoyed from them all through the political sojourn, I am further motivated and inspired to pursue a political career in the nearest future for the sole purpose of serving my people. I believe that bad times don’t last forever and that there is light at the end of a dark tunnel. This country will not remain like this forever. Darkness must give way for light to shine”, he added.
