A major tragedy was on Tuesday averted as Ambassador Victor Oyakhilome aka Amb Vicky Larg, escaped death by whiskers.
The urbanscoopnews was informed that he was on his way from Ubiaja, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State where he was returning from the PDP local government elections flag off, when the vehicle conveying him had a fatal crash.
He has however been taken to hospital and was said to be recuperating.
Amb Vicky Larg confirmed the incident in a text message to our correspondent.
He said, ” Ambassador Victor Oyakhilome aka Amb Vicky Larg, had an accident on Tuesday, on his way to Benin City.
“His car somersaulted when he attempted to avoid a tanker who was driving against traffic.
“The car conveying Amb. Vicky Larg did a 360-degree to avoid a head-on collision with the tanker.
“Ambassador Vicky Larg have been taken to undisclosed hospital for medical attention and he is in a stable condition.”
