Last night being 29th May 2024, I had the privilege of sitting down with Chief Dr. Augustine Alimhanga Ojiezele in his palatial residence in Abuja for a dinner interview.

Our conversation centered around his assessment of Senator Monday Okpebholo, a man who has risen from the ashes of poverty to become a shining example of success.

As we savored our meal, Chief Dr. Augustine shared his thoughts on Senator Okpebholo’s remarkable journey. “From the criticism he has faced, it’s clear that Senator Okpebholo has broken free from the cycle of intergenerational poverty,” he began. “Despite his humble beginnings, he refused to be defined by his circumstances. He worked hard, persevered, and today, he stands as a testament to the power of determination and hard work.”

Chief Dr. Augustine emphasized that Senator Okpebholo’s ability to empathize with the poor and understand their struggles intimately makes him an ideal role model for the marginalized. “He has proven that with the right mindset and support, anyone can overcome their challenges and achieve greatness,” he said.

As we delved deeper into the conversation, Chief Dr. Augustine highlighted Senator Okpebholo’s exceptional qualities as a leader and champion for the poor. “His commitment to serving the marginalized and his ability to relate to their struggles make him an ideal advocate for their rights,” he noted. “His leadership has inspired hope in countless individuals who feel seen and heard through his efforts.”

Throughout our dinner interview, it was clear that Chief Dr. Augustine holds Senator Okpebholo in high esteem.

He sees him as a beacon of hope for the poor majority, someone who has walked in their shoes and understands their plight.

“Senator Okpebholo is a great man who the poor must identify with,” he said. “He was like them, and he alone can be sympathetic and feel the pain of the poor.”

As the evening drew to a close, I left Chief Dr. Augustine’s residence with a deeper appreciation for Senator Okpebholo’s inspiring journey.

His story serves as a reminder that anyone can achieve greatness, regardless of their background or circumstances.

He is a true role model and champion for the poor, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
