Chairman of the Benin Recreation Club (BRC) Inter-Club Relations and Affiliation Committee, Olorogun Peters Jaboro, has congratulated Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri (Gabros) on his official swearing-in as the Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area by Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Jaboro, in a congratulatory message, described Iduseri’s inauguration as the beginning of a new chapter in the administration and development of Oredo, expressing confidence in his ability to justify the confidence reposed in him by the electorate.

He said Iduseri’s emergence and subsequent swearing-in had placed a significant responsibility on the new administration to deliver effective, transparent and people-oriented governance at the grassroots.

According to him, the people of Oredo expect the new administration to move swiftly from campaign promises to tangible development, particularly in areas that directly affect their daily lives.

Jaboro urged the Benin Recreation Club President to prioritise infrastructure and road maintenance, environmental sanitation, primary healthcare, education, youth empowerment, market development, community engagement, security and sustainable economic growth.

“Oredo is the heart of Benin City and has enormous potential. With visionary leadership, inclusive governance and effective collaboration with stakeholders, your administration can make a remarkable difference in the lives of residents across the various communities,” he said.

The BRC committee chairman also urged Iduseri to remain accessible to the people and build an administration anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusiveness and service.

Jaboro expressed confidence that Iduseri’s leadership experience, integrity and commitment to excellence would enable him to provide purposeful leadership and leave a lasting legacy in Oredo Local Government Area.

He further called for strong collaboration between the local government administration, traditional institutions, community leaders, civil society organisations, private-sector stakeholders and residents to accelerate development across Oredo.

While wishing the new chairman a successful and impactful tenure, Jaboro assured Iduseri of his goodwill and that of the BRC Inter-Club Relations and Affiliation Committee.

He said the committee looked forward to seeing an Oredo Local Government administration that would promote inclusive development, effective service delivery and improved quality of life for residents.

“Congratulations once again to Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri. We wish him a successful tenure and urge him to seize this opportunity to build an Oredo that works for everyone,” Jaboro added.
