The landmark project, attracted within a few months of the emergence of the new National Chairman, Elder Solomon Isesele, was described by the people as evidence that purposeful leadership delivers results.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Elder Isesele commended the developmental strides of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo across the state, with special emphasis on Esan land.

“Our Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is God sent and an emissary of the ancestors who has come to deliver his people from the hands of political oppressors,” Elder Isesele declared. “The projects we are witnessing today are touching lives directly. This is leadership with compassion and the fear of God.”

In appreciation, the elders and youths of Uzogholo offered prayers to God and to the ancestors for divine protection, wisdom, and strength for Senator Monday Okpebholo to enable him to fulfill his mission to the people of Edo State.

The community also praised Elder Solomon Isesele for his quality leadership and initiative. Within months in office, he has successfully influenced the location of the NSCDC Command Office to Uzogholo  a development the people believe will enhance security, create opportunities, and bring more government presence to the area.

“May our ancestors grant you the strength to carry all of us along,” the elders prayed for their new chairman. “Thank you for your good leadership and vision. You have started well and we are proud of you.”

While celebrating progress, the people made a passionate appeal to the Governor. They noted that the _only township road linking Uzogholo to Eidenu, Irrua, and Ivue-Uromi_ has become completely impassable.

“That road has cut us off,” the community lamented. “Farmers cannot move their produce. The sick cannot reach the hospital on time. Students are stranded. We are pleading with our God sent Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to come to our aid and fix this road for us.”*

The meeting ended with a renewed pledge of support for the Senator Monday Okpebholo administration and for the leadership of Elder Isesele as the community continues to attract development.

For Uzogholo people, the message is clear: with God, with the ancestors, and with purposeful leadership, a new dawn has come to Esan land.
