Kingsley Ohens reporting
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday received former President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, held behind closed doors, took place at the President’s office within the Villa. Photographs released after the engagement showed both leaders in a cordial atmosphere during the visit.
No official statement was issued detailing the agenda of the meeting as of the time of filing this report. However, the visit forms part of ongoing engagements between the President and key national figures.
Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s President from 2010 to 2015, has maintained periodic consultations with successive administrations. His visit to the Presidential Villa marks a continuation of such interactions.
President Tinubu has, since assuming office, received several former leaders and prominent stakeholders at the State House as part of consultations on national matters.
