The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Mr. Ehimegbe Ebakoleane Farouk as Executive Director of the Edo State Road Maintenance Agency.
The appointment, which takes effect from February 19, 2026, was conveyed in an official letter referenced SGA.15/Vol.XVIII/961 and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq. According to the letter, the remuneration attached to the position is in accordance with the relevant regulations currently in force in the Edo State Public Service.
Mr. Farouk’s elevation to the strategic role is widely regarded as a recognition of his longstanding loyalty and unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Over the years, he has remained a steadfast supporter of the party and a firm believer in the leadership capacity of Governor Okpebholo, dating back to his tenure in the Senate.
Political observers note that Farouk has consistently demonstrated dedication to the ideals and progressive vision championed by Governor Okpebholo, maintaining strong grassroots engagement and party cohesion within the state.
