Eseigbe Solidarity Movement
Sir Dr. Lucky Eseigbe Esq., Edo State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development and House of Representatives aspirant for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency, has heartily congratulated Rt. Hon. Victor Sabo Tiger Edoror on his appointment and inauguration as a member of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
In a congratulatory message, Sir Dr. Eseigbe described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that Rt. Hon. Edoror’s pedigree, experience in public service, and commitment to equity and good governance make him eminently qualified for the role.
He further commended the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as a thoughtful and strategic nomination that reflects confidence in capable hands from Edo Central. He also expressed deep appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for approving the appointment, describing it as a clear demonstration of the President’s commitment to inclusiveness, fairness, and national cohesion.
Sir Dr. Eseigbe noted that the Federal Character Commission plays a critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s unity by ensuring fair and equitable representation of states, ethnic groups, and geopolitical zones in appointments, recruitment, and promotions within federal ministries, departments, and agencies. He emphasized that the Commission is also responsible for monitoring compliance with the federal character principle, addressing cases of imbalance or marginalization, advising governments at all levels on equitable distribution of public offices and resources, and promoting national integration through justice and fairness in governance.
According to him, Rt. Hon. Edoror’s appointment comes at a time when the nation needs firm, fair, and principled leadership within key institutions to deepen trust in government and ensure that no section of the country feels excluded.
“We in Edo Central are immensely proud of you,” Sir Dr. Eseigbe stated. “Your elevation is not only a personal achievement but a collective pride for our people. We are confident that you will discharge your duties with integrity, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to the ideals of fairness and national unity. He once again congratulated Rt. Hon. Victor Sabo Tiger Edoror and wished him a successful and impactful tenure at the Federal Character Commission.
