Senator Ikpea Media Force
Distinguished Senator Joe Ikpea has paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the Ekpoma axis of the Benin–Auchi Road currently under construction by BUA Group through the Federal Government’s Tax Credit Scheme.

During the visit, Senator Ikpea expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being executed on the project, which is designed using the Continuous Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) technology—an advanced and durable road infrastructure standard being deployed by the Federal Government.

The Senator emphasized the importance of collective support and prayers for Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, whom he praised for his unwavering zeal, strategic leadership, and commitment to ensuring that the Esan region benefits meaningfully from critical federal infrastructure interventions.

According to Senator Ikpea, the successful inclusion of the Ekpoma–Auchi corridor in the CRCP road programme reflects Governor Okpebholo’s proactive engagement with federal authorities and his determination to improve connectivity, economic activities, and road safety across Edo State.
He noted that the project, when completed, would significantly ease transportation challenges, boost commerce, and enhance socio-economic development within the Esan axis and beyond.
Community members and road users who observed the visit expressed optimism that the project would be delivered to standard and on schedule, describing it as a long-awaited intervention with the potential to transform the region.

Senator Ikpea concluded by commending BUA Group for its role under the tax credit initiative and reaffirmed confidence that, under Governor Okpebholo’s leadership, Edo State—and Esanland in particular—will continue to witness meaningful development.
“Esan will be great again,” the Senator affirmed.
