Hon. Ephraim Aluobhosele, Chairman of the Governing Council of Edo State College of Education, Igueben, has commended the Edo State Governor and the management of the institution for their shared commitment to strengthening teacher education and advancing sustainable educational development across the state.

Hon. Aluobhosele made this known when he was interacting with journalists on the progress of the institution within the framework of the government’s SHINE Agenda. He emphasized that meaningful educational reform thrives on collaboration, noting that “we are all partners in progress.” He described the current direction of the Edo College of Education, Igueben, as a reflection of visionary leadership, institutional accountability, and people-centered governance.

According to him, the Governor’s consistent prioritization of education—particularly teacher training—demonstrates a clear understanding that quality education remains the backbone of socio-economic growth and grassroots development. He stressed that teacher education is not only foundational to learning outcomes but also central to building ethical leadership, innovation, and national competitiveness.

Hon. Aluobhosele further praised the Governing Council, management, staff, and students of the College for aligning institutional policies with global best practices while remaining responsive to local realities. He reaffirmed the Governing Council’s commitment to transparency, capacity building, and infrastructural development, assuring stakeholders that the Council will continue to support initiatives that enhance academic standards and staff development while expanding access to quality teacher education.
