A member of the People’s Democratic Party, Mr. Daniel Okoebor, has formally announced his resignation from active political participation within the party.
In a letter dated March 16, 2026, and addressed to the Ward Chairman of Ward 4 in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Okoebor stated that his decision takes immediate effect.
The letter, which was formally submitted to the party leadership at the ward level, indicated that his resignation was driven by the need to devote more time and attention to his personal and professional commitments. According to him, the increasing demands of his business engagements, alongside his ongoing doctoral (PhD) programme, necessitated a step back from active political involvement.
Okoebor emphasized that the decision was made after careful consideration, noting that both his academic pursuit and business responsibilities now require his full and undivided focus.
He expressed appreciation to the party leadership and members for the opportunity to serve and participate in its activities, while formally requesting that his resignation be duly acknowledged.
Until his resignation, Okoebor was actively involved in party affairs within his ward and contributed to grassroots political engagement in Esan Central.
The development marks a significant shift in his political journey as he transitions from active participation to focusing on personal advancement and professional growth.
