The 2027 House of Representatives ambition of Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe, Esq., representing Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben Federal Constituency, received a significant boost on Friday as he convened a strategic engagement meeting with coordinators from the three local government areas at the Eseigbe Liaison Office, Ihumudumu, Ekpoma.
The gathering, themed “A Date with Destiny,” marked his first formal interaction with members of the campaign council and ward coordinators spearheading the grassroots structure of the project. The event also featured the formal inauguration of ward and local government coordinators, alongside Asiwaju 2027 coordinators, signaling a coordinated political structure moving into full operational mode.
Addressing the coordinators, Sir Eseigbe described the meeting as a defining moment in what he called a collective aspiration to deliver purposeful and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
He noted that the inclusion of each coordinator was deliberate and based on their proven capacity, credibility, and grassroots influence. According to him, leadership is fundamentally about people, and the success of any political movement rests on the strength of its structure at the ward and community levels. He emphasized that the coordinators represent the pillars upon which the aspiration stands and charged them with the responsibility of mobilizing support and consolidating presence across their respective areas.
Sir Eseigbe explained that the essence of the meeting was to foster sincere interaction, evaluate areas of strength, identify challenges within the wards, and collectively develop strategies to reinforce the campaign’s structure. He stressed the need for improved coordination, enhanced visibility, and sustained grassroots engagement, particularly in comparison with other aspirants in the race.
Calling for unity and perseverance, he urged members of the team to remain steadfast and focused, noting that success in any collective endeavor requires patience, discipline, and shared commitment. He assured them that with determination and hard work, victory would be attainable. He further reiterated that the project transcends individual ambition, describing it as a shared vision aimed at driving sustainable development across Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben Federal Constituency.
The high table at the strategic summit reflected the depth of leadership driving the movement. Among those present were Chief Ekpen Ebanehita, JP, of Igueben, Director-General, Strategy and Planning; Hon. Bello, Esan Central Local Government Coordinator; Comrade Omoregie, Igueben Local Government Coordinator; Blessing Ebhodaghe, Esan West Local Government Coordinator; and Hon Unuigbe Idialu Sonata. Their presence underscored the structured and inclusive nature of the emerging political architecture.
In their responses, various speakers commended Sir Eseigbe’s leadership qualities and longstanding contributions to community development, describing him as a credible and vibrant figure capable of providing effective legislative representation. They emphasized the need for strong national legislative support to complement ongoing developmental strides in Edo State and expressed confidence in his capacity to serve as a reliable voice at the federal level.
The gathering further reaffirmed support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with attendees pledging commitment to intensified mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a spirited demonstration of solidarity, coordinators collectively chanted support songs and declared their readiness to work assiduously toward achieving overwhelming electoral success.
The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen ward structures, and vigorously promote the Eseigbe vision alongside the broader Renewed Hope political movement as preparations gradually intensify toward the 2027 polls.
