Benin City, Edo State – In a demonstration of goodwill and commitment to collaborative governance, Hon. Ehimegbe Ebakoleane Farouk, Executive Director of the Edo State Road Maintenance Agency, paid a courtesy visit to Edo State Commissioner for Finance, Engr. Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor.
The visit provided an opportunity for cordial engagement and exchange of ideas, strengthening the relationship between the Road Maintenance Agency and the Finance Ministry. Farouk expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s continuous support and highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation in driving Edo State’s infrastructural and developmental objectives.
During the meeting, Hon. Farouk reiterated his unwavering support for the “Shine Agenda” of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, describing it as a transformative framework that has significantly enhanced governance, infrastructure, and socio-economic development across Edo State. He also lauded the governor’s leadership, noting his visionary, inclusive, and results-driven approach.
Farouk stated, “This courtesy visit is an affirmation of our commitment to working harmoniously with all ministries and agencies. We are dedicated to supporting Governor Okpebholo’s Shine Agenda and ensuring that the vision for a progressive, well-connected Edo State is fully realized.”
Engr. Okoebor warmly received Hon. Farouk, appreciating the gesture of goodwill and emphasizing the Ministry’s readiness to continue fostering collaboration for the benefit of Edo State residents. The Commissioner also lauded the Governor for, in his words, “putting a square peg in a square hole” with the appointment of Hon. Farouk as the new Executive Director of the Edo State Road Maintenance Agency, describing the decision as timely and well-deserved.
The visit underscored the importance of respectful engagement, inter-agency cooperation, and the shared commitment to advancing the goals of Edo State under the exemplary leadership of Governor Okpebholo.
