As Ekpoma Kingdom marks the 2026 Annual Cultural (Ihuen) Festival, Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe Esq., Commissioner for Physical Planning, Urban and Rural Development, Edo State, has issued a heartfelt tribute in honour of His Royal Majesty, Zaiki Dr. Anthony Ehizojie Abumere II, the Onojie of Ekpoma Kingdom.
In a message of goodwill commemorating the cultural celebration, Sir Lucky Eseigbe described the Ihuen Festival as a symbolic reminder of Ekpoma’s enduring heritage, identity, and shared values. He noted that the annual observance provides an opportunity to reflect on the kingdom’s rich history and the visionary leadership of its revered monarch.
According to him, the ascension of His Royal Majesty to the throne has ushered in a period defined by peace, unity, and purposeful progress. He commended the Onojie’s steadfast commitment to preserving the customs of the forefathers while championing transformation and inclusive development for the betterment of Ekpoma Kingdom.
Sir Lucky Eseigbe stated that the reign of the monarch continues to inspire confidence and pride among the people, fostering harmony, cultural pride, and a renewed sense of collective responsibility toward community advancement.
He offered prayers for divine wisdom, strength, and enduring grace upon the Onojie, expressing optimism that Ekpoma Kingdom will attain greater heights under his fatherly guidance and principled leadership.
The tribute underscores the significance of the Ihuen Festival as not only a celebration of tradition but also a reaffirmation of Ekpoma’s unity, resilience, and aspirations for sustainable growth.
