Mischief-makers: False Claims of Orbih, Okpebholo Rift

…says mischief-makers cannot take away the long-term relationship between both.

I read yesterday where Mischief-makers insinuated that Chief Dan Orbih snubbed the governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, when dignitaries, including the governor, were at the Benin City airport to welcome His Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. The minister was in Edo State for the commissioning of construction equipments procured by the governor for Local Government Areas, LGAs.

Those who are peddling such wicked falsehood are disingenuous. The Chief Dan Orbih I have known for years now won’t even come to Edo State with Wike if there is any ounce of rift between him and the governor. So it is bemusing for these uncreative individuals who intend to, in their wild imaginations, create embers when there was never a fire in the first place. I can attest to the fact that these individuals are bent on orchestrating wicked narratives with the sole intent to sow discord between Orbih and the governor. It is unfortunate that instead of these individuals to focus on issues that are progressive, they prefer to hang on to straws of mischieve, manufactured and fabricated narratives aimed at rupturing the relationship between both that have been nurtured over three decades.

I have personally reached out to Chief Dan Orbih who denied any of such rift that will necessitate such an unfounded claim of snubbing the governor. He went on to send me the full video where he had a warm embrace with the governor, a reflection of their nature of relationship. But these simpletons edited that part from the video to erect their falsehood.

The feeble attempt to create tension between both of them is a wild thought that has no connection to the reality of their relationship. Chief Dan Orbih will not deliberately snub Senator Monday Okpebholo. He has no single reason to do so, especially now they have resolved to move Edo State forward. Those who wish to make mince-meal out of their usual operations of peddling fake news should find something else to do with their time. These political desperate individuals should know that the era of mischief as an enterprise is gone. Distractions like these are no longer political viable options – they are obsolete.

It is habitual for these individuals to rely on disinformation to dissuade the unsuspecting public, but everyone now knows their evil machinations and manipulations.

I want the public to be very sensitive to information from credible sources. They must be careful how they consume information from malicious fifth-columinists who are bent on derailing progress and fracturing relationships. I commend members of the public who saw the edited video with the caption of rift and called to know what exactly what transpired. We must be vigilant all the time because those who spread fake news and peddle fake narratives hardly go to bed; they are awake like fireflies and alive to create tension where there are none.
