Christians across Esan Central Constituency have been urged to use the Ash Wednesday observance as a period of deep spiritual reflection, renewed faith and commitment to service to humanity.
Marking the commencement of the Lenten season, Hon. Chief Fada Taylor Eigbiremonlen described Ash Wednesday as a solemn reminder of human weakness, the need for repentance, mercy, dependence on God, humility and love.
He noted that at a time when Nigeria continues to seek peace, unity and sustainable development, the spiritual lessons of Lent remain particularly significant, adding that genuine sacrifice and prayer can inspire positive change beyond the church and into everyday communal life.
The honorable encouraged Christians to pray not only for personal renewal but also for the wellbeing of their communities, Edo State and the nation at large. He further appealed to residents to use the season to promote harmony, mutual understanding and support for one another, regardless of religious or social differences.
Reaffirming his sense of responsibility to the people, Hon. Chief Fada Taylor Eigbiremonlen assured constituents of his continued commitment to responsive leadership, people centered representation and initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of the constituency.
He concluded by seeking the prayers and support of the Christian community for divine guidance as he continues to serve, while wishing all faithful a spiritually fulfilling Lenten season marked by hope, peace and renewal.
