The Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Late Augustus Akhabue Akhomu Foundation (LAAF), Chief Dr. Leemon Agbonjagwe Ikpea, CON, alongside members of the Board of Trustees and Executives of the foundation, have congratulated General Cecil Osolease Esekhaigbe (Rtd), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message signed by the BOT Chairman and made available to newsmen on Monday by the Secretary of the Foundation, ESV Tony Okonigene, Chief Ikpea described General Esekhaigbe as an outstanding military professional whose lifetime of service continues to positively impact community development in Esanland and beyond.
The statement noted that the LAAF leadership took time to eulogise the celebrant’s distinguished career in the Nigerian Army, highlighting his discipline, leadership qualities, and commitment to national service, which earned him admiration during his years in uniform and in retirement.
Chief Ikpea further acknowledged General Esekhaigbe’s contributions to peace, security, and socio-economic development, particularly his support for initiatives that promote unity, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in Edo State.
The Foundation described the celebrant as a highly decorated retired Nigerian Army officer, seasoned security consultant, respected community leader, and a Board of Trustees member of the Foundation, widely regarded as a “people’s general” for his accessible leadership style and dedication to the wellbeing of society.
Members of the Board of Trustees and Executives of LAAF also offered heartfelt prayers for General Esekhaigbe, wishing him continued good health, longevity, wisdom, and renewed strength to sustain his service to humanity.
The Late Augustus Akhabue Akhomu Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to recognising and celebrating individuals whose lives exemplify integrity, selfless service, and positive contributions to community development.
