Igueben, Edo State — In a decisive show of unity, strength, and political direction, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igueben Local Government Area on Saturday witnessed a landmark convergence of its most influential leaders as Honourable Ephraim Aluebhose convened a high-powered strategic meeting at his residence.
The gathering brought together senior party stakeholders, elected and former public office holders, grassroots mobilizers, and strategic leaders to review governance outcomes, strengthen party cohesion, and chart a forward-looking political pathway for Igueben within the broader APC structure in Edo State and Nigeria.
Widely described by participants as both timely and consequential, the meeting climaxed with a unanimous vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Party leaders cited what they described as purposeful leadership, people-centered policies, infrastructural renewal, improved security architecture, and renewed public trust in governance at both state and federal levels.
The endorsement, formally adopted by the Igueben APC leadership, underscored the local chapter’s firm alignment with the party’s national and state leadership vision, as well as its readiness to support ongoing reforms aimed at economic stabilization, democratic consolidation, and inclusive development.
In his address, Honourable Ephraim Aluebhose delivered an expansive political and developmental briefing, reaffirming his position as a central rallying force within the APC in Igueben. He spoke passionately on the imperatives of party discipline, internal cohesion, grassroots engagement, and sustained loyalty to party ideals, stressing that political strength must be anchored on unity and service to the people.
He emphasized that Igueben occupies a strategic place in the APC’s consolidation efforts in Edo State and urged leaders at all levels to intensify grassroots mobilization, strengthen ward structures, and actively support government programmes that directly uplift the welfare of citizens. According to him, effective leadership must go beyond political rhetoric and translate into tangible socio-economic impact at the community level.
Honourable Aluebhose further charged party stakeholders to remain proactive, vigilant, and responsive, noting that the confidence reposed in APC-led administrations carries a responsibility to deliver measurable progress and sustain public goodwill.
The meeting was marked by robust deliberations and a shared resolve to close ranks, deepen collaboration, and project a united front ahead of future political engagements. Participants pledged unwavering support for the APC at all levels and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party’s dominance and performance in Igueben Local Government Area.
Top leaders in attendance included Pedro Esangbedo, Edo State Senatorial Vice Chairman of the APC; Honourable John Inegbedion, three-time former Commissioner; Rt. Hon. Justin Okonoboh, former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly; Honourable Omi Imoisili, Member of the Judicial Service Commission; Honourable Ojie Inegbeboh, Member of the Edo State House of Assembly; and Honourable Henshaw Elimihe, Executive Chairman of Igueben Local Government.
Others present were Honourable Kingsley Ehigiamusoe, former deputy Chief of staff to Edo State deputy governor and Member of the House of Assembly; Honourable Fidelis Ogbejiele, APC State Financial Secretary and former EDHA member; Honourable Igbogbo, former Local Government Chairman; Honourable Agazuma, APC Diaspora Chairman; Bartholomew Ebhuoma, Igueben LGA Secretary; Engineer Victor Ugbo; Chief Best Ose, former Deputy Chief of Staff; Professor Odia Osadolor; and Chief Sunday Okhuelegbe, APC Chairman, Igueben, alongside numerous other party leaders and stakeholders.
Political observers describe the meeting as a strong signal of internal stability within the APC in Igueben and a reaffirmation of Honourable Ephraim Aluebhose’s enduring influence as a stabilizing force, consensus builder, and strategic leader within the party’s hierarchy.
