Esan West Local Government Area was agog with activities as prominent leaders—Hon. Unuigbe Idialu, popularly known as Sonata, Dr. Ominimini, Hon. Osborne Elimihele, and Ambassador Julius Aluobhosele, also known as the Oba of Youths—led a peaceful unity solidarity march in support of the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, reaffirming their commitment to peace and security in Esanland.

The solidarity march, which attracted a large turnout of residents, party faithful, youth groups, and community stakeholders, was organized to demonstrate grassroots support for the Okpebholo-led administration and its renewed drive to tackle insecurity across Edo State. Participants marched through major streets of Esan West, chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards that echoed messages of peace, unity, and support for the government.

Speaking during the rally, Hon. Unuigbe Idialu (Sonata) lauded Governor Okpebholo’s leadership style and commitment to restoring peace and stability in the state. He described the governor as a focused and people-oriented leader whose policies are already laying the foundation for sustainable development.

“We are here today to stand in solidarity with His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and to openly support his efforts in fighting insecurity. Peace is critical to development, and we believe the governor is on the right path,” Idialu said.

He further urged the people of Esan West and Esanland at large to continue supporting the Okpebholo-led administration and to remain law-abiding, stressing that collective cooperation with government initiatives would attract more development to the area.

Addressing the crowd, Dr. Ominimini emphasized that a peaceful environment is essential for meaningful growth and social progress. He reaffirmed total support for the governor’s security agenda and called on residents to remain vigilant and united.

Hon. Osborne Elimihele, who also addressed the gathering, explained that the unity march was aimed at reinforcing public confidence in the governor’s leadership while encouraging community participation in peace-building efforts. According to him, the march served as a clear message that the people of Esan West stand firmly behind the administration’s vision for a safer and more prosperous Edo State.

Speaking to newsmen at the event, Ambassador Julius Aluobhosele (Oba of Youths), the convener of the solidarity march, said the initiative was driven by the need to promote unity, peace, and collective responsibility among the people, particularly the youth. He noted that young people have a critical role to play in supporting government efforts to combat insecurity and sustain peace at the grassroots level.

The enthusiastic crowd at the event repeatedly reaffirmed their loyalty and support for Governor Okpebholo, pledging to continue partnering with the government in the fight against insecurity. The peaceful conduct of the march further reflected the organizers’ message of unity, harmony, and collective responsibility for sustaining peace in Esanland.
