According to Abdullahi, the Fire Service received a distress call at about 12:15 p.m. from the Deputy Director of the Service, Rabiu Garba, reporting that a young child had drowned in a well.

“Upon receiving the emergency call, our rescue team was immediately dispatched to the scene,” Abdullahi said.
