As part of plans to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Ambassador Comrade Isesele Kelvin Aigbokhan (BOSSU) Foundation Free WAEC scheme, the president and founder of the foundation, Amb., Comrade Isesele Kelvin Aigbokhan, has pledged to enrol over 1,000 indigent students for the West Africa Examination Council/National Examination Council Examinations for the 2024/2025 academic season.
The chief executive officer of the Bossu group of companies, said that the students needed the support to help them get to the pinnacle of their careers, assuring that the committee set up will select genuine beneficiaries.
According to him, “The importance of education cannot be over-emphasized as it remains the foundation for meaningful development to take place in any country.
“If a country is said to be developed, the educational system of that country gets the credit.”
He said that there are a lot of schoolchildren who have dropped out of school due to lack of funds, adding that as a lover of education, he would not fold his hands and watch the children, who are the future leaders of the country, stopped from achieving their goals and put the country in the right path.
He said that to achieve that, the children must be allowed to go to school unhindered and pursue their dreams.
Emphasizing that the enrollment for the indigent students of Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State is just part of his contributions to the development of the local government and by extension the state and Nigeria at large, he called on the would-be beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity and put in their best in their academics so that the purpose of giving out that money would be justified.
